Inside, the Periwinkle Cottage feels surprisingly spacious, with natural light pouring through the windows and a gentle coastal breeze drifting in from the shore. The queen-sized bed, cozy linens, and fold-down table make it the perfect spot to rest after a day of exploring the trails, spotting wild ponies, or relaxing on the beach. With 9-foot ceilings, clever storage, window curtains, and a comfortable 6-foot futon that converts to a full bed, this tiny home provides everything you need without the clutter of a traditional cabin.

At night, fall asleep to the sound of waves, rustling grasses, and crackling campfires nearby. In the morning, sip your coffee on the front porch while the sky turns pastel and the island wakes up around you. Whether you're here for peaceful solitude, a romantic escape, or a cozy home base for beach adventures, Periwinkle Cottage offers a beautiful balance of comfort and simplicity.

• 6’ futon that converts to a twin bed

• Outlets for charging and running small appliances [note: you must reserve a campsite in Loops G or I for electric connections]

• Front porch for sunrise watching & stargazing

Please note:
1. The cottage does not include a kitchen (sink, stove, or fridge) so guests can enjoy outdoor cooking as most prefer on Assateague. All cooking must be done outside. Pets are not permitted at this time.

2. Guests will use the clean, well-maintained bathhouses located within Assateague State Park. These facilities include restrooms, sinks, potable water, and hot showers and are just a short walk from your campsite.

3. To complete your booking request, you must secure a campsite at Assateague State Park and send us your booking confirmation in order for your reservation to be complete. Bookings can be made here:
