Assateague Cottages offers a unique way to experience Assateague Island — combining the comfort of a tiny coastal cabin with the freedom of camping. Our pastel-colored cottages are delivered directly to your reserved campsite at Assateague State Park, giving you an unforgettable beach escape just steps from the ocean.
Our Accommodations
A collection of six custom-built tiny cottages, each with its own coastal color and theme. These cottages are designed to be simple, cozy, and bright — giving you the charm of a cabin with the adventure of outdoor camping.
Each Cottage Includes:
- Sleeps 2 - 4 guests
- A queen bed with linens and pillows
- A 6’ futon that converts to a full bed
- Seating, dining table, and smart storage
- Solar-powered 12-volt LED lighting
- Outlets for charging small devices (reservation at electric loops required)
- Windows that open for island breezes
- Surf rack, towel racks, and hammocks

Bathrooms & Water Access
There is no indoor plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom inside the cottages.
Guests will use the clean, well-maintained bathhouses at Assateague State Park, offering:
- Restrooms
- Sinks & potable water
- Hot showers
Cooking
To preserve the simplicity of tiny living and the safety of the island, all cooking must be done outdoors at your campsite.
(There is no sink, stove, or refrigerator inside the cottage.)
Electricity Notes
Outlets and electric connections are available only in Loops G or I at Assateague State Park.
If you prefer non-electric loops, the cottages still include solar LED lighting.
